Prosthetics

Prosthetics – We are trained, certified, and licensed to provide prostheses as small as the tip of a finger to as large as the complete absence of a limb, including the occasional missing hip and shoulder components. We thoroughly evaluate each patient’s individual needs based on criteria, including their medical history, activity level, their abilities, activities of daily living, hobbies, vocation, living situation, treatment goals, and more. With input from the patient, a prosthetic recommendation is developed that will assist them in returning to an active lifestyle and regaining their previous level of independence. We also manage the loss of toes and partial feet using partial feet prostheses/toe fillers, which when necessary, are accompanied by additional support which will provide more leverage, ultimately restoring balance and enhancing the patient’s ability to walk.

Orthotics

Orthotics – We provide a variety of orthoses of all types, including devices that are custom molded to your anatomy and fabricated specifically for you, as well as custom fitted devices, ordered from a manufacturer and fitted to you by your trained professional. These devices are available for an extremely wide range of pathologies and conditions, including but not limited to, CVA/stroke, spinal cord injury, polio, hyper and hypotonic conditions, diabetes, nerve pathologies, muscle pathologies, drop foot, muscle atrophy and weakness, lymphedema, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, knee pain and/or instability, hip pain and/or instability, back pain, post-operative spinal surgery, scoliosis, foot pain, plantar fasciitis, deformities, Charcot neuroarthropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, contractures, maternity, subluxations and displacements, fractures, and many more.

Pedorthics

Pedorthics – We treat several conditions of the foot and ankle through the use of footwear and foot orthotics. Both custom molded and prefabricated foot orthoses can help relieve painful symptoms associated with many problems including flat feet, tendinitis, and plantar fasciitis. Some conditions require ordering special footwear and/or performing shoe modifications such as the addition of a shoe lift to correct a leg length discrepancy or a wedge to accommodate for limited foot and ankle mobility. Shoes custom molded and fabricated to your feet can be necessary when off-the-shelf shoes will not accommodate. We also specialize in diabetic footwear, which may include custom molded or prefabricated diabetic inserts that can be used to relieve and redistribute excessive pressure so that callusing can be minimized and ulcerations can heal or be prevented altogether.
